Pakistani and American scientists discuss the benefits of scientific cooperation
Two scientists, Rumana Riffat, from George Washington University, and Safiya Ahmed, from Quaid-i-Azam University, discuss the benefits of scientific cooperation between Pakistan and the United States at the Pakistan-U.S. Science and Technology Symposium. Riffat and Ahmed's research leads to better waste-water treatment around water-scarce areas of Islamabad. As a result of their research, there is more water available for agriculture and other uses in areas that have very little water.
