The world-famous U.S. company General Electric has announced a new project to bring electricity to residents and businesses in Sihanoukville, in conjunction with Toshiba.
The 135-megawatt power plant in Sihanoukville will be the cleanest, most efficient coal-fired plant in Cambodia when it is completed.
GE also signed an MOU with the Ministry of Mines and Energy to implement a Continuous Emission Monitoring System, which will track and analyze pollutant emission levels in all power plants in Cambodia.
