Culinary Arts Envoy Program - Namibia, December 3 - 9, 2023

The U.S. Embassy Namibia in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s Arts Envoy program, hosted two American culinary expert’s Chef Chris Williams and cookbook author Kayla Stewart, as well as an American native dance group from December 2-10, 2023.

The purpose of this visit is to commemorate the dedication of the New Embassy Compound (NEC) on December 7th, 2023. During their time in Namibia, the envoys will also meet with Namibians to exchange ideas and collaborate on culinary masterclasses and dance performances. Chef Williams is the founder of Lucille’s Hospitality Group in Houston, Texas. He is classically trained in French, Mediterranean, West Indian and East African cuisine.
