Book donation to the University of Namibia (UNAM)

the Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy Namibia, Tiffany Miller handed over a book donation to the University of Namibia (UNAM)’s Faculty of Education and Human Sciences. The donation supports an English Language writing workshop series for second-year education students. The donation will serve as teaching aids to improve the students’ preparedness for English Language instruction in Namibian schools, focusing especially on using children’s literature as model text for teaching craft lessons in writing.
The donation was received by the university’s head of the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care Dr. Taimi Ngikembua, an English Language lecturer Jacolyn van Wyk and U.S. English Language Fellow Christine Masolo. The donation was funded by the U.S. Embassy, and support meaningful and sustainable English Language teaching, and promote share values in education.
