The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) is currently anchored off the coast of Guyana to conduct a Continuing Promise 2010 humanitarian civic assistance (HCA) mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima will work with partner nation teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance to eight different nations.
