U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce Arun Venkataraman's Visit to Bangladesh and U.S. Trade Show 2022
During U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets Arun Venkataraman’s two-day visit to Dhaka last week, he was pleased to meet with Minister of Commerce Tipu Munshi, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Dr. Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, and Private Industry and Investment Advisor to the Prime Minister Salman F. Rahman. The Assistant Secretary’s visit reaffirmed U.S. commitment to broaden and deepen the U.S.- Bangladesh commercial relationship. At the U.S. Trade Show last week, together with Ambassador Haas, they announced the opening of a new Commercial Service office at the U.S. Embassy. The new office will focus on maximizing U.S. export opportunities and work collaboratively with Bangladesh to assist U.S. companies looking to enter or expand their presence in the Bangladeshi market!
