Observing Women’s History in Kaiserslautern
KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany – Soldiers gathered to observe women’s history during a March 31 event at the Kaiserslautern Community Activities Center on Daenner kaserne.
Dozens gathered for the hour long program, which include musical entertainment, art displays and giveaway contests.
Denise Miller, deputy to the U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern commander, was the keynote speaker at the celebration, under the theme, “Our history is our strength.”
A joint service color guard, made up women serving in uniform from various units in the Kaiserslautern Military Community, rendered honors to the colors.
