Posting of the colors during the NGA Change of Director ceremony
FORT BELVOIR NORTH AREA, Va. —Letitia A. Long, director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Robert B. Murrett, outgoing director of NGA; Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper; and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates (right to left), observe the posting of the colors during the NGA Change of Director ceremony here Aug. 9, 2010. Long assumed leadership of the NGA, and comes to the agency from the Defense Intelligence Agency, where she served as the deputy director from May 2006 until July 2010. The ceremony was held on the site of NGA Campus East (NCE), a 2005 Base Realignment and Closure project which will consolidate various offices of NGA into a single campus here.
