Project engineer promoted to captain
First Lt. Willem Pretorius, a project engineer in Europe District’s Wiesbaden Resident Office, is promoted to captain during a ceremony June 5 behind the Amelia Earhart Center in Wiesbaden, Germany. Col. Matthew Tyler, district commander, administered the oath of office, while Maj. Michelle Dittloff – a Europe District project manager – also took part in pinning on his new rank. She and Pretorius served on the Forward Engineer Support Team-Advanced during its six-month deployment to Liberia for Operation United Assistance and the fight against Ebola in West Africa.
