Longtime Europe District facility manager honored in farewell
Europe District leaders, colleagues and friends bid farewell to Heath Drako, the organization’s longtime facility manager and supply officer, during an award ceremony and reception Dec. 17 at the Amelia Earhart Center in Wiesbaden, Germany. Col. Matthew Tyler, district commander, presented him with the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service. Drako, who joined the Logistics Management Office in June 2003, also received several parting gifts. He provided outstanding leadership, tireless dedication and customer-focused initiatives to more than 40 offices in nine different countries, which helped ensure mission success for the district, according to the award citation.
