Learning about USACE

Teachers from Tapestry Charter School, Buffalo, NY, were welcomed by MAJ Michele Busby, Buffalo District deputy district commander, and given an overview of the Corps of Engineers and the Buffalo District, September 4, 2014. During the two day science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) training, teachers visited Mount Morris Dam and Niagara Falls Storage Site. Teachers were able to talk with Buffalo District team members, who are applying STEM concepts daily, so they can apply those examples in the classroom and help better teach their students.
