SAMAR, Philippines (June 21, 2012) – Lt. Cmdr. David Allen, center, examines a seven-year-old patient at Paaralang Elementary School during a medical civil action project (MEDCAP). Numerous MEDCAPs will be conducted in Samar over the course of two weeks, bringing relief and life-changing treatment to thousands of locals. Now in its seventh year, Pacific Partnership is an annual U.S. Pacific Fleet humanitarian and civic assistance mission designed to work by, with and through host and partner nations, non-government organizations and international agencies to build partnership and a collective ability to respond to natural disasters.
