Watches as the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos
SOUTH CHINA SEA (Oct. 15, 2012) - Ensign Ian Schnur, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell (DDG 85), watches as the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos (T-AO-197) conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the guided-missile frigate USS Vandegrift (FFG 48). McCampbell is part of the George Washington Carrier Strike Group, the U.S. Navy’s only continuously forward-deployed carrier strike group, based out of Yokosuka, Japan, and is currently conducting a routine western Pacific patrol in support of regional security and stability of the vital Asia-Pacific region.
