Exercise Talisman Sabre 2011
INDIAN OCEAN (Jul. 25, 2011) – U.S. Air Force Col. Chris Stockton fires an M240B machine gun from the fantail of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington during his visit to the ship. USS George Washington is currently participating in Exercise Talisman Sabre 2011. Talisman Sabre is a bilateral exercise designed to train Australian and U.S. Forces in planning and conducting Combined Task Force operations in order to improve Australian and U.S. combat readiness and interoperability.
