PACIFIC OCEAN (Mar. 28, 2011) - The Military Sealift Command rescue and salvage ship USNS Safeguard (T-ARS 50), right, is anchored near the port of Miyako in northeastern Japan as a landing craft utility transits past. Safeguard and other U.S. Navy ships and aircraft are conducting relief operations in Japan as directed to support Operation Tomodachi.
