Aircraft return from Scarborough Shoal interoperability mission

CLARK AIR BASE, Philippines (April 21, 20160) - Four U.S. Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II aircraft taxi down the Clark Air Base runway after completing an air and maritime domain awareness (AMDA) mission near Scarborough Shoal. These aircraft are part of U.S. Pacific Command's air contingent designed to promote interoperability and provide greater and more transparent air and maritime situational awareness to ensure safety for military and civilian activities in international waters and airspace. The AMDA missions that the A-10C's conduct enhance ongoing maritime situational awareness missions carried out by the U.S. Navy's P-8 deployments to Clark for a number of years.
