President Trump Visits USPACOM on First Leg of Indo-Asia-Pacific Journey

171103-N-WY954-037 CAMP H.M. SMITH (Nov. 3, 2017)— President Donald J. Trump and U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) Commander, Adm. Harry Harris, are piped aboard during an honors ceremony at USPACOM headquarters. The President is in Hawaii to receive a briefing from USPACOM prior to traveling to Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines from November 3-14. During the trip the President will underscore his commitment to longstanding U.S. alliances and partnerships, and reaffirm U.S. leadership in promoting a free and open Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The president’s engagements will strengthen the international resolve to confront the North Korean threat and ensure the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
