PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 15, 2014) - Amphibious assault vehicles (AAV), assigned to 3rd Amphibious Assault Battalion (3DAAB), Alpha Company 2nd Platoon, approach the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) during amphibious operations.
