Ambassadors of Mexico and the US Watch a Screening of “el Estudiante” by Roberto Girault
Ambassador Betty E. King, U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, and Ambassador Gomez Camacho, Mexico's Permanent Representative, watch a screening of "el estudiante" at the U.S. Mission to the UN in Geneva.
In a collaborative program, the US Mission worked closely with the Mexican Mission and FIAPF, the International Federation of Film Producers Federations, to highlight the importance of intellectual property rights for film producers and artists around the world, and therefore also for economic growth and development. The US Mission hosted a showing of the movie “el estudiante” by Mexican filmmaker Roberto Girault, followed by a talk by Girault on the making of the movie and the importance of IP protection to the success of his work.
