U.S. and UK Host Geneva Group Consultative Level Meetings
The U.S. and UK Missions co-chaired Geneva Group Consultative Level Meetings today at the U.S. Mission. Participants discussed the UN reform agenda, leading organizations through change, and promoting accountability in the UN system. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Jonathan Moore led the U.S. delegation. The UK delegation was led by James Kariuki, Multilateral Policy Director for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Representatives from all 18 Geneva Group members were in attendance. U.S. Ambassador for UN Management and Reform Cherith Norman Chalet and Minister Counsellor at the UK Mission to the UN Rosie Grieves represented the New York Group. High-level officials from several UN organizations presented to the group.
