Rare and Beautiful Butterflies :

The Small Copper is a fast flying butterfly that, once settled, is unmistakable with its bright copper-coloured forewings.

Depending on the habitat, Common Sorrel (Rumex acetosa) and Sheep's Sorrel (Rumex acetosella) are the two main food-plants, although other Docks (Rumex spp.) are occasionally used.

 

Photographed in the area Piatra Craiului, Brasov, Ro. Piatra Craiului is river located along the Barsa where one of my favorite walking places near Brasov.
