5th and 6th from the rear of UP Train MTPTP 16 is this pair of Ex-Frisco Hoppers bound for preservation on the Midland Railway at Baldwin City, KS after being saved from the scrapper's torch and donated by L.G. Everist, Inc. They are former LGEX cars built with SLSF reporting marks. Here they are passing Midland on Main Track 1 of the UP Kansas Sub. after being picked up at Miller Siding this afternoon in Kansas City, KS. They are en route to Topeka and will flip back to KC for interchange with BNSF and movement to Ottawa Jct.
This was somewhat of a pet project for me recently, I left my mark on them during this movement. It was nice to see them rolling down the main at 50 MPH after being used as car puller anchors in a transload facility for the past 13 years. #SendIT!
