UN Women Grant Program - Kyrgyzstan
Uzenova Kerimkan, a community member instrumental in securing a grant from the UN Women Program for community development in rural areas, inspect grain to be cleaned using a machine purchased with the grant money in the village of Toktonaliev, Kyrgyzstan. With the $10,000 grant, matched with a community contribution of funds and labor, this community built three rooms of the facility and purchased a grain grinder and grain cleaner they use to produce high quality cow feed.
