4-H and FFA youth in the swine (hog or pig) animal science project learn how to raise, take care of, and show swine. The 4-H/FFA Swine Show at the Lancaster County Super Fair includes Showmanship, Breeding Gilts, Market Classes, Pen of Three, and a Carcass Contest.
At the Lancaster County Super Fair, all exhibitors are expected to care for their swine (feed, water, and help keep cool) and cooperate in keeping pens and alleys clean, neat and attractive. 4-H clubs and FFA chapters are automatically judged for Herdsmanship ribbons.
