Connie Britton visit to Kenya and Rwanda

To promote arts for development, US actress and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Connie Britton met Dr. Hassan Wario, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary Sports, Culture and the Arts, as well as UNDP Resident Coordinator Ms. Nardos Bekele Thomas and Kenyan film industry figures.

Connie Britton has arrived in Kenya for the start of her official visit to the continent.

Her visit will allow her to witness firsthand some of UNDP's work helping the world's poorest and most vulnerable.

Connie Britton became a UNDP Goodwill Ambassador in 2014, helping to raise awareness of UNDP’s work in poverty eradication, with a particular focus on women’s empowerment.

UNDP partners with people at all levels of society to help build nations that can withstand crisis, and drive and sustain the kind of growth that improves the quality of life for everyone. On the ground in more than 170 countries and territories, we offer global perspective and local insight to help empower lives and build resilient nations.
