Equipment worth sh1.2b will be distributed to 44 health centers in eight districts.
It includes delivery beds, oxygen machines, newborn resuscitators, baby cots and fistula repair kits.
The districts to benefit are Kanungu, Katakwi, Oyam, Mubende, Yumbe, Kotido, Kaabong, Moroto, Lira, Kabale, Gulu and Mulago regional referral hospitals.
UNFPA also donated lab equipment worth sh1b to six midwifery schools to help in the training of midwives.
