Resting Shoveler
My "small" Shoveler project that was supposed to be a side-project during the Winter ended up taking large amounts of my time over the last 6 months but has given me a small but fascinating window into the world of this sometimes overlooked species. If you get the chance to see one well both the Drake and the Female are very attractive birds.
With the departure of the wintering Shovelers on my patch comes the end of this Winters project but I'm hoping they'll return next Autumn!
