Ion Film 2 SD scanner test

For my birthday, I got a cheap scanner for lomokino scanning - haven't tried that yet but did scan some Portra 400 as the ultimate test. The results are pretty clear (or not, as the case may be!).

Ignore the dust - would at least attempt to clean the negs before scanning!

Annoyingly it adds "My beautiful picture" as description to every scan.

Update: scanned a few lomokino negs... the Ion, like my lab, doesn't scan quite the full width of the 4-frame group, but that's OK because you can slide it along three frames at a time (between the notch stops). Be careful not to scan a single frame at the end or the auto colour balance is messed up. And the results are absolutely fine for lomo plastic lens stuff!
