I bought this for my Iraq trip. It almost made it all the way through. My rifle pretty much knocked the LCD screen out of the camera. Canon is shipping me a refurbished S410 for a very reasonable price to replace this one. If you saw how dinged up the front and sides of this poor thing are, you'd say I got a pretty good deal. This camera is a good backup to my Nikon D100.
