Dad and Dan on Sunny - with Debi
In the movie, Debi starts spazzing out and almost crashes into the horse. This is a snapshot from an 8mm film that we transferred to VHS about 10 years ago and then lost track of. Once I got the video I had to transfer it via my DV cam to PC. There are a lot of artifacts as a result of the whole process and camera. I seem to remember that the camera was powered by winding it up. I think back then (~1971) - you would buy a camera, projector and screen and suddenly your a film maker! Just shoot and process. So I thought it was pretty cool that my Dad was making films back then. I remember watching them together as a family. We had to set up the screen, the projecter, load the film and - show time! There was no audio but the projector would click away. Everything was a lot more work back then, but that was also the reason why it was fun to to.
