Tim Nugent Scrapbook 6 - during treatment (Photo Encapsulation 1)
Whenever possible, loose items that were never attached to pages were encapsulated or placed in acid-free, buffered pockets, then reinserted back there they were found. However, some scrapbooks came to us with loose items floating in the box; these items were similarly encapsulated or foldered. Other scrapbooks simply had too many loose items; encapsulation and foldering adds additional bulk that the bindings simply could not support (even after guarding and repair).
