It has been raining throughout the day so my weekly self-portrait took place indoors. The shadow over my face was produced by my fedora blocking the light from a ceiling bulb. Although I desaturated the photo significantly, it isn’t completely black & white, to allow some colouring in the hat to remain.
To recap: I have multiple myeloma and anemia, a rare cancer of the blood plasma. It is treatable, but incurable. On Sunday, January 24th I completed Cycle 13 Week 2 of my four week treatment cycle. I have 21 days on (Pomalyst chemo pill) and then 7 days off. In addition, I take dexamethasone, an oral steroid, every Monday.
