Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque (Gazi Husrev-begova Džamija), Sarajevo
Gazi Husrev-Beg was a 15th-16th century Bosniak Bey (ruler of a Governorate in the Turkish Empire) who is considered as the main builder of Sarajevo. He was responsible for the construction of numerous mosques throughout the city, including the one that bears his name (shown in this picture), as well as the city's first library, medresa, school of Sufi philosophy, and clock tower (Sahat Kula).
