Christmas Decorations ala Pinhole

Closeup of Christmas Decorations.

It was a cold, rain filled, heavily overcast day, So I made some pinholes to while away the time. First go, 0.3mm but I went on to drill it out more - SNAFU! After six attempts, I stopped with this one, 0.2mm and I'm happy with the result.

Now, I want to try that 0.3mm one again and see if it makes better images. Pinholes appear to be more forgiving of slight oversizing (smaller changes in optimal focal length) as opposed to undersizing (larger changes in optimal focal length.)

Camera to Subject, 40cm.

Foreground to Background distance 80cm.

Canon EOS 7D, 0.2/40mm f/200 BCPH, 241sec, Digital Development via Adobe Lightroom 3 (WB, Tone, Presence, Crop, Rotate, HSL Tweaks, Noise Reduction)
