My headshot business has been moving along pretty well lately -- and in fact.... I recently had the first of my headshots TO BE PUBLISHED IN A BROADWAY PLAYBILL!!
About two years ago I was in a community theatre production of the musical "Assassins" and one of my co-stars was a young 11 year old actor named Joey La Varco.
Joey hired me to shoot his headshot for what turned out to be his Broadway debut: the new Jason Robert Brown musical "13" (which opened last month at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre on 45th Street). I was excited enough by the thought that I'd be having my first Broadway Playbill headshot.... but then one of Joey's co-stars, a young actress named Elizabeth Egan Gillies, also hired me to shoot hers (Liz is also making her Broadway debut in "13")... so I ended up having my first two Broadway headshots get published in the very same Playbill! Quite an honor!
