death - a tesellation-skull, designed by Melina Hermsen (yureiko), reverse-engineered and folded by me.

I was so lucky to attend the ultimate origami convention in lyon earlier this month and after returning home via würzburg, i got to try out some things. I talked a lot to Melina there and attended her owl workshop, which helped me understand her way to design those tesellated faces. I really like her style (old and new) so i decided to try and give another model a go, this tesellated skull, which i wanted to fold for a long time. This is my second fold of it, and i think now i got every part right (backside is collapsed clean :) )

Paper was elephant hide, ca 20*30cm with a 24 hex-grid.
