Spiral of Life
Spiral of Life - designed by Dáša Ševerová, folded by me during a skypenight... *yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn* with Alex and Liz :D
I used an octagon cut from a square of 20cm of white elephant hide, coloured by me with acrylics before folding. The diagrams for this model are avaiable in the german conventionbook for the 27th international origami-meeting of Origami Deutschland in Bonn. Thank you for putting them there, Dáša :)
The main part of this model is precreasing - if you do it clean, the model collapses all by itself. On the on hand that's a great feeling, but on the other hand, there is nothing really to fold :/ thats why i chose to lock the petals and shape them a little ;) but i think the model looks great both ways - open or closed :)
Oh and i like those little triangles, which were leftovers from the octagon, doodled a bit around and got a winged heart. maybe i will show it later ;)
Hope you like it! ~Stefan
