In the American TV series Baywatch, a team of lifeguards at a Los Angeles beach saved lives, dealt with personal dramas, fought crime and participated in over the top adventures on a daily basis. The team was led by Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon (David Hasselhoff) and the most popular lifeguard was C. J. Parker (Pamela Anderson) in her iconic red bathing suit. This long-running series followed the adventures of the lifeguards that came and went with each passing season as they keep the beaches safe for vacationers. Frequently veteran Buchanan had to take action to save them from the raging seas and from the raging tempers that sometimes flared up between the young guards in this stressful job.
