Distant Canyons
Excavated in small increments of sand and pebbles over millions of years, these mountains of material have been carried away by a river. Washed hundreds of miles downstream into the ocean where they begin the process of layering all over again. And perhaps in the future, another set of canyon walls will form between their stratum.
