Saabs Towing

Hello Robin.

 

You ask for photos about Saab towings. I have done it a LOT OF. Thats why I later on have use GMC Suburban and Audi Allroad for towing. Look photos why ! (dont forget our winter roads!!) My next target was new generation 9-5 combi XWD with 2000kg towing capasity.. ...(as many others). Sometimes dreams newer come reality.

 

- Black rally edition: thats my rallysummer 1996. Towing Saab is 95-73 with 1700cc engine, 7.2 camsaft + lighty grinded sylinder heads. Amazing thing was that we dont get any tickets from Police. Sure, it was totally illegal towing, just my test how it works with V4 95. To be sure it was safe, ofcourse I had good suspension with Bilstein shocks, rearones modified OG 900 rear Bilsteins. So, roadhandling wiht towing rig was wery good. Other amazing thing was low fuel comsuption. Helsinki- Nokia- Helsinki, fuelconsuption was only 9 liter / 100km !! and speed was round 90km/h.

Because these "crimes" are old nowdays, I can now show these funny photos from my younghood. DONT DO THAT AT HOME !!
