APS Film Cross Process Experience
Nita handed me this found film, discovered around her father's house during decorating. It was an expired (2001) APS film cassette. I've seen them before. Sort of a beta max of film photography. I thought that they were a modified 35mm film. But it wasn't. Soon realised my mistake in the changing bag. Too small for even the 35mm spool size. Couldn't go back, as I'd opened the cassette. So I put it into the Paterson tank loose - no spool. Extra chemicals, and more frequent inversions. This came out - perfectly dated to 1999, and provenanced to Lands End, Cornwall. By the way, as a result I've learned more about APS film. Modern DSLR users can credit it for their APS-C sensor sizes. While "full frame" DSLR users can size up to 135 (35mm) film. It wasn't liked.
