All Good Things...

...come to those who wait!

Thrice over in this instance.

1: I had been nagging my good friend Julian Godridge about coming out light painting with me. We go back for YEARS and both share an interest in photography and meet regularly for a few beers and a catch up. I had been moaning at him every time I saw him about how he should come out with me one evening. This time he finally relented. Hopefully the experience didn't put him off it for life...

2: I had been wanting to do Towanroath Shaft at Wheal Coates for AGES - I'd already done the engine houses higher up the cliff but never made it down to this one. Until this evening...

3: I was on tenterhooks ALL DAY when it was thick grey cloud which showed no signs of clearing. Then as I left work, I saw some gaps in the clouds appearing and my heart skipped a beat - normally when I get to St Agnes, it's poor cloud cover meaning no real drama in the skies. However - tonight - the sky delivered for us - for the most part, anyway. We did several shots looking down the coast and were about to do some shots looking the opposite way when the clouds thickened up and started drizzling. We eventually had to abandon play but I'm very happy to say that we got some shots tonight that I am VERY proud of.

So, here's to you Julian - thanks so much for finally coming with me and I just hope you enjoyed the experience as much as I did!
