insufficent insurance
I finally got some medication that seems to be really helping with the fibro...
In order to find out if my insurance will cover it, my doctor has to call for pre-authorization. In the mean time, I can't even get a price quote from the mail order pharmacy for the insurance.
Even if it IS going to be partly covered, I don't think I'm going to be able to afford it.
After 3 calls to order my regular medications, and three different price quotes.
I'm ready to cry.
In the US, those who can afford it get top notch medical care and can get the treatment/medication they need.
The wealthy can afford insurance that will cover what ever might possibly ail them.
The poor, or those on Government medical programs get, just barely enough care. At this level or even the people at the mercy of their Insurance carrier: the INSURANCE gets to pick and choose whether the person gets the FDA approved medication for the illness or not.
A lot of people can't afford any of it.
