The rocky pacific shore on the western side of Catalina Island

This island was effectively owned and controled by the Wrigley clan (of gum, the Cubs, and WGN fame in Chicago). They promoted it for tourism and used it for their competitive Arabian stallions. You can see herds of bison roaming free on the island interior that were orginally brought in for a movie filming.
