This is a 42 shot panorama of the Milky Way at an unnamed lake near Bencubbin, 3.5 hours north east of Perth in Western Australia. I was driving around some random country roads on my way to another location when I noticed this lake. The air was perfectly still which created some nice reflections on the shallow lake surface so I grabbed my camera gear and started shooting.
Prominent in this image are the Large & Small Magellanic Clouds just right of centre, to the right of those is the red Gum Nebula. Justs left of that is the pink Carina Nebula and in the top left is the colourful Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex, adjacent to the Blue Horsehead Nebula.
