Superbloom

"Superbloom:" The wildflowers in Death Valley were dancnig furiously in the wild wind that was blowing over the otherwise arid desert land. They teased me by refusing to hold still for a photo. I increased my shutter speed and a little bump on the ISO and opened my aperture to get a more narrow focus and freeze frame them to a split second in time. The colors and shapes of some mountains in the background provided a natural backdrop to contrast with an otherwise busy field of golds. From my low perspective, some of these flowers looked like they were about to rival the height of the mountains. I wanted to capture that feeling to enhance the 'super' feeling of these blooms.
