Recovering native Chaparral Yucca (Yucca whipplei, Liliaceae or Hesperoyucca whipplei, Agavaceae) burned by the "White Fire"
This is a recovering family of native Chaparral Yucca (Yucca whipplei) plants in the Liliaceae plant family - now renamed as Hesperoyucca whipplei in the Agavaceae. They were burned by the "White Fire" that started at White Rock picnic area about two months ago. You can see new growth on most of them - the green below the tan.
