Burned-out native Chaparral Yucca (Yucca whipplei or Hesperoyucca whipplei, Liliaceae or Agavaceae), burned by the "White Fire"
Here is a family of burned-out native Chaparral Yucca (Yucca whipplei) in the Liliaceae plant family - now renamed as Hesperoyucca whipplei in the Agavaceae. They were burned by the "White Fire" that started at White Rock picnic area a month ago. At least the largest one will probably make it - to flower and die, as they do.
