Assassin Bug (Reduviidae, Hemiptera) on Mugwort (Artemisia douglasiana, Asteraceae)
This is another photo of the Assassin Bug (family Reduviidae) in the order Hemiptera in my [Previous photo]. This is the neighbor leaf of a different native Mugwort (Artemisia douglasiana) plant in the Asteraceae plant family that it jumped to. You can see its mighty proboscis neatly folded under its head.
