Caterpillar "web bridge" on Coast Live Oak
Here is webbing and a neat "web bridge" between two partly-skeletonized leaves of Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia, Fagaceae) in the woods today. I'm sure the webbing of the web-spinning caterpillar, not a spider. I'm intrigued by these webs that are not made by spiders, see this photo and this photo. Happy Web Webnesday!
